Anybody know what colors the Ibanez Talman TC530 (three lipstick pick-ups) was made? I just bought a green one, but I am wondering if the color is original. |

Hi Musash, I checked my archives and it appears that the TC530 has been refinished, there were metallic green colors available in the 1995 TC620 model which had 2 chrome P90 pickups, the 1996 TC420 model this had 2 chrome Super 58 pickups, there was a TC 740MN model from 1997 in mint green this had 2lipsticks & a humbucker in the bridge, in 1998 the was the TC220DG=Deep Green, his one had 2 exsposed pole humbuckers, not to worry it's still a cool guitar. |

Cameron, thanks for checking. Can you tell me what colors the TC530 was made in originally? |

The colors listed in the 1994 catalouge for the TC530 are: * ABB = Azure Blue Burst:Blue that fades to white. * BK= Black * PB = Pale Blue * GFA = Gravure Flame Amber (photoflame top ) * ROB = Royal Orange Burstrange fade to white. The ABB looked good, but ROB was SHIT and was discontinued as fast as it appeared. Cameron |

Now look what I found! At Richard Harris' Ibanez Rules!! website: 1996 Ibanez Catalog - Talman Series, in the upper right corner: a green TC420 Talman! Looks like they made some after all. I have a TC530 in exact that same color, so I guess I have something a bit rare and maybe original after all. Anyone else ever seen a green Talman? |

Just won an auction on a '94 TC530. Based on the pictures, I'm a bit amazed because this is a sunburst finish "photo-flame". Looks real nice. The catalogs do not list a sunburst model (looks like cherry sunburst or possible a tobacco/dark sunburst). Has anyone ever seen a sunburst photo flame '94 TC530?? |

Guys, The Talman is the only "modern" Ibanez that I have ever had any jonesing for. I used to think that it was the only Ibanez original design that had any real Strat vibe. That was until I discovered my Roadstar RS505!!! Anyway I would really dig one of the Japanese built Talmans with the 3 lipstick tubes and vibrato bridge. I have seen them when they were new with a flame top in amber and green!!! What model number is this??? A Friend of mine bought one that was silver sparkle, two Super58's and a Bigsby style vibrato. That was a cool guitar. Cheers, Mark |

Those would be the 1996 TC830. Maple top, alder body. Made in Korea, I believe. Seems like all of the Japanese made Talmans had Resoncast bodies (1994 and 1995). |

Interstate Music Company offered a green version that was exclusive to them. I'm not sure if it's the same exact color, but it might help |
