The serial no. is I80010. I know for sure that it is not september 1980 since this type of guitar was only made between '88 and '90. When did Ibanez stop using the letter for month and 1st 2 digits for year system? And how does the current system work? Thanks, John M |

What model is it? Where is that number located? It doesn't have enough characters to be a serial number. If you got that number from the neck plate, check the headstock. 1986 was the last year of the Month/Year,Year **** serial numbers. The typical post '86 serial number is: factory/last digit of year ***** Cheers Steve |

Hi Steve, It's the serial no. of an Ibanez Artfield. The AFD25 TB-Z to be exact. These were made between 1988 and 1990. The serial is located at the headstock as you can see.

One year ago I buyed an ibanez artfield AFD25AM-Z,the one look similar to prs with asimmetrical body shape, amber with a beautifull quilted maple top,the last possessor changed pick ups with two PRSvintage, all other parts are original.I would like to know how much it may cost, and have more info about it. Thanks Vittorio |

Vittorio, If you do a search on Artfield on this board you will probably find all information available on these guitars. It is hard to say how much a guitar like your is worth. They are pretty rare and therefore anything goes. (cheap and expensive) How much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking? What's the serial? |
