I just picked up my first Blazer, 1982 blue with 2 hums and single coil. The humbuckers say MMK and 45 on the back... can anyone tell me about these? Original or not? |

I suspect the guitar has been modified. The hum/single/hum pickup configuration is not stock for an original ('80-'82) Blazer. The later "reissue" models from the '90's did offer that setup. Can you provide the serial number and/or a photo? Super70's were the humbuckers used on the originals. I'm not familiar enough with them to know what markings to look for. Perhaps one of our esteemed "experts" can shed more light? Cheers Steve |

MMK45s are Matsumoku made pickups, or at the very least pickups used in Matsumoku made instruments. So obviously they aren't stock. |

Just as a trivia note I lifted the pickups out of my Aria Pro II TS-300 Thor Sound when i was changing the strings recently and it has MMK 45s in it. |
