Could anyone out there please help me identify the year of this Guitar,RG 470L (Left Hand) Made in Korea,Ser Number C8040245, INFINITY Pickups (Inf1,Infs1,Inf2) Gloss Black, the reason I ask is because I do believe I have been Scammed on Ebay, having stated it was 8 months Old ,V1,and V8 Pickups, which I believe where only on the later 470s?,to my mind ,this seems more like a 1988 version,as I think the Infinity Pickups where faded out in 97,to make way for the V pickups, Hey Guys,I know there are a lot of clever people out there, can somebody please help me identify this Guitar,so that I can expose this Liar on Ebay |

Froggy, Does it have the All Access Neck Joint, or the standard square joint with a plate? Cheers Steve |

Graham, The AANJ didn't appear on the RG's until about '94. Also, there was no RG470 in '88. That model didn't show up until '93. Here's the catalog listed pickups for the RG470: 1993 - V7/S1/V8 1994-97 - INF1/INFS1/INF2 1998-02 - V7/S1/V8 Yours may have been an early '98, or one that got "left-over" pickups. Either way, It's probably a 1998 model. Cheers Steve |
