I'm not a Via or JEM fan, but this is an interesting auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2576840636&category=33043 It appears to be the original Steve prototype. It's currently at over 10K (with a broken neck) -Sven |

Sven, I saw that listing too. They are including both the original neck which apparently was broken at some point. The guitar has a replament neck on it. It seems authentic, and to the diehard Jem fan I am sure it is a very appealing collectible guitar. Especially since the listing has been authenticated by Vai's official web site. -Dennis |

Did you see this in the bidding history: "robelinda572003( 14) Cancelled Explanation:This user bid the amount of $20,000,100.00 on a guitar. Not serious. " That same eBayer was bidding on some Roadstars too. He has good feedback, I wonder if it was an error or misunderstang of currency exchange??? Though that seems high for a bid exchange or not - it's not like it's a Yen conversion....? |

I saw a similar bid on some other auction recently, I can't remember for what, so presumably its the same guy. Perhaps he's trying to make some sort of comment on overpriced, or perhaps what he considers dodgy, auctions. |
