John, That auction has been pulled several times by eBay. It always shows up as a single day auction, but never lasts the full day. There's something not quite right about the auction. The seller is in Germany with a Google email account and claims the guitar will ship from Japan. js |

This guitar is listed several times tonight. Something is really fishy on this one. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. Rick |

There are several scammers on ebay. Normally they take very nice photos of vintage Ibanez guitars or the likes and write something down like "Do not bid on that auction, it's only a BIN auction, if you want to use BIN please email me", normally when you'll email such a seller he will ask you how much you can pay and ask you to make a bank transfer, no PayPal because he got divorced from his wife, etc. Then after he has your mail, you'll get fake emails from him, which look a bit similar to a genuine email from ebay, asking you to precede with the seller. Anyways, always contact ebay members only through the ask seller a question. Try to stay away from revealing your mail address. There are not too many frauds. The best thing is to never think like what you see is your only once in a lifetime chance. |

he hijacked the acct...I am jerking him around now.I emailed him back saying that i would give him 3000$ and that i want it so bad!!!!He emailed me back asking for my personal info etc...So i think thats the end of our exchange. There are so many scams on ebay.As a seller iw ont be using paypal ever again on items over 200$ because many buyers now can and do chargebacks claiming they didnt get item or its not as described.Paypal doesnt care what the buyers excuse is for not wanting the item they automatically get refunded when paypal gets the tracking number/proof of return delivery. As a buyer using paypal is bulletproof garanty.Regardless of sellers return policy.I had a buyer return something 14 days after he bought it.I couldnt do anything about it.Paypal jus refunded him the money.I lost shipping fees, ebay fees and a sale. |

i beleive he hijacked this account: "vintageantiques"...but i am not sure...He wanted to do everything outside ebay or direct me to a spoofed ebay page. You should know that it takes about 2 seconds to copy an ebay page from "view source" with right click and then pasting the code into dreamweaver or other html editor and then uploading that page to your bogus website/host.There s a guy selling his uncles artist on ebay right now-new account-his wording scares me a little.Maybe im just getting 2 paranoid. If your a buyer always buy with credit card funded paypal account so you can get your money back if scammed. If youre a seller never accept paypal on items over 200$.Thats how im playing it these days. |

Which one of these is it? The one from Florida, who's a member for 7 years and never sold one item through eBay? http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/MemberSearchResul t?userid=vintageantiques Shouldn't be so hard to find out if he's been pulling back his auctions all the time. He could be doing this for 7 years... Ginger |

There are couple of guys doing those scams, not just one. It's just random account hijacking, most of the time not the same seller. I saw it recently going for a satch model, an LP, basically they just try to show that you have the chance of a lifetime. |
