Just looking in the '76 catalogue scans and saw this pedal (picture below), I'm assuming the PT is phase tone, but it's an expression style pedal like wah and volume pedals. Does anyone know if it works on the same premise as a wah pedal, where you control which end of the phase spectrum you want to be (does such a pedal exist?), or is it along the lines of rocking forward increases the speed of the phase rotation?

Ok, just went to harmony central and my first question is answered (in that rocking it forward=fast phase & back=slow phase). Does anyone know if a pedal exists (Ibanez or other) where it works like a wah, in that you control where the tone is? My old Peavey Classic has built in phase, but I hate most rotational effects, as they constantly find and then go past really cool sounds. Hopefully that makes sense, I know what I mean it's hard to describe. Anyone? |
