Hey PUE5 users, a guy has started a user group. He's posted some mods which are worth a look. I tried the real basic one, changing one of the original distortion opamps for a JRC4558. I recommend it to everyone. It fattens up the distortion very nicely and is not all that hard to do. You'll love your PUE5 even more. I intend posting some of my dumbass simple fixes for hum, unreliable footswitches (works for 10 and L series as well), loose inputs/outputs and whatever else I can think of. Check it out ... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tubeampconversions/ |
