I've never heard one before, but I hear that they are good pedals. Not sure if it's that same chip. But I think it's a true bypass. Are they only available in Japan? Does anyone know of a shop in Tokyo where they might have these pedals. (vintage/used, preferably) as I will be over there soon. Any info would help a lot. -John |

Late reply. There is a connection between Ibanez and Maxon My Ibanez UE300 multi effect pedal which includes a TS9 has a Maxon printed circuit board inside (and JRC op amps). I must guess that Maxon has subcontracted for Ibanez in the past. Just how close the OD 808 is to a TS 808 is difficult to say without a full circuit diagram. My TS 808 does not have JRC Opamps but Texas instrument ones! |
