I'm trying to determine where my 1979 AS100 was manufactured. The serial number on the back of the headstock is L795247. There is no "Crafted in Japan" decal on the back. Also, what pups were standard on this model? I need one Sure Grip I knob and pick-up covers to bring this back to looking like new. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!! Mike |

Hey Acetan: Can you advise how to post to this site? I've got the images on Photobucket but can't get them posted here. Sorry, and thanks! Mike |

Mikeh, Go to Formatting under Documentation, (it's on the left panel), roll down to image posting instructions. Ace |

I have a 1980 AS100. How does it differ from the 1979? Stacey |

MK, I wish I had seen this site before... That is the best layout of the catalogs I have seen. Stacey |

Sabeking, 1979 and 1980 should not differ at all AFAIK. But from 1980 to 1981 they changed the body from birch to laminated maple and in 1982 it went out of production. I have an A82 one. Regards :-J |
