Yes, I am having someone make decals. However, they can't be done in pearloid material. So, I naturally would like peal inlays. But I guess that's not possible. Unless I find a beat up old artist from which to harvest the inlays. I can't get Ibanez to return any of my calls or emails. very frustrating.

Jbarden:

Don't be too irritated with Ibanez/Hoshino. Regardless of our perceptions, they aren't in business to support older, used equipment. They aren't that big that they can afford to pay people to return phone calls about every guitar or amp sold. They have a commitment to support guitars that are under warranty or recent models that they *might* still have parts in stock.

Think about it from another POV. Would you expect to call General Motors and have them tell you how to find a hood emblem for your '81 Dodge Dart? I don't think so. And they are a lot larger company than HoshinoUSA.

I know there are people that can accomplish what you are after. The problem is that one-off, custom work isn't cheap (like a decal). Have you contacted an ICW member named Pitviper? He's in the inlay biz.
