I believe I owned one of these about 15 years ago,I bought used in a guitar store for $500.00, nice player and looks great for sure, im not sure about the numbering system, but do believe its 1978 . cheers, jazzz

Who would loosen strings when storing a guitar for 6 years. I wonder what effect this has on a neck, which's truss rod is adjusted to balance a set of strings.

I have the same guitar/year minus the pickguard. I paid $1000 12 years ago. I've put against an L5 and sounds and feels as as good. Here is a pic of mine. guitarfront

$1500 seems about right. It will be interesting to see how high is bids.
