His playing changed over the years. Hope they will do a reunion soon. Do you all have that legendary YellowYackets album ? The yellow one with the hornet ? These ES models are so hip lately.... Love my AM205's.. a little history : Chuck Berry BB King Grant Green Eric Clapton Alvin Lee Larry Carlton (Mr ES-335) Lee Ritenour (Captain Fingers) Robben Ford. John Scofield (later switched to Ibanez) i'm sure i missed some names.. |

Robben is one of my long time favorites. Unique ability to combine tasteful jazz licks with genuine blues tonality and touch. Not one of the “the faster, the better” guitarists. Sustain and muting is built into his fingers. And yes, have most of the older Yellow Jackets albums. /Bjorn |

I love Steve Khan. He was a very early influence on me. Way back in my teens I was a huge Alex Lifeson (Rush) fan. In fact when I was 16 I bought a Gibson ES-347 because of him. I still have it. |

+1 for Steve Khan! I first saw him in '71 or '72 playing with the Brecker Brothers band in Hollywood's Troubador. Man, what a great player! |

steve khan is one of my favorite players. i think he's a bit underrated too. anyway, i spent this last august studying his book "contemporary chord khancepts". very clever and useful information. the book comes with two cds played by him, and has abundant info about his guitars, pedal settings, and recording techniques. strangely as it may be for a jazz player, mr. khan uses .09 gauge strings on his '81 ES335 heritage series! |

+1 as well for Steve Khan. I'm happy to find people who remember this guy. I remember hearing his album, "The Blue Man"" and just really digging his playing. |

pat, tx for the link. marco pereira is an outstanding guitar player, he executes those complex rythms with unparalleled ease, even more than romero lubambo i think. |

It was a fine show. Both these guys can really play! btw...if you're from the NYC area and you're familiar with The Bottom Line, a great venue which closed a few years ago, The Cutting Room is very much like a scaled down version of The Bottom Line. Highly recommended venue! mk |
