Check out this thread at The Gear page: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t= 297034 I believe the 2355 is still available. Unfortunately, I just can't afford it right now. |

That guitar is literally brand new and as far as I know, the guy doesn't have an offer on it yet that his seller will accept. Is $1,100 fair? For brand new, with the paper still on the pick guard? Anyone who bids that gets the guitar. It's definitely collectors' grade. I am the buyer of the Korina V from this guy, by the way. |

The Destroyer went to Momo, who's posted here and is awaiting its delivery. The V is going to me and I'm in the process of paying for it and working out delivery. We're calling them either the "trainwreck" Ibanezes or, what I like better, the "Crazy Train" Ibbies. They all are brand new, in case, with paper still on the pickguards. They've been in the attic of the guy who salvaged them from a train wreck in upstate New York 30 years ago. They all have late 1976 serials. With unlimited funds, this would have been a great set to acquire en masse. When the person acting as the agent for the widow of the guy who salvaged them originally posted them, he had the LP and strat clones listed at $2,000, while the real collectibles were listed in the mid $1,000's. (The Destroyer was already sold when he posted to The Gear Page.) Totally inverted. The widow of the guy who found them evidently was told by an "expert" that the clones were worth the most. Hence, she is not coming down on her prices very much, although they are now down to the low $1,000's range. I know one fellow offered $900 for the LP/2350 and was turned down! I still think the 2355 is well worth what she's asking. When I get the V in my hands, I'll let everyone know what I paid for it. -Chuck |
