You can ask 20%-33% more for a natural flame maple (the M) in (near) mint condition. The condition is important. I had the opportunity to buy another 2355M for EUR 650 at Robby's (where Lieven bought his 2405CA), but the high gloss clearcoat had been stripped off (so it was entirely matt which made the flames almost entirely disappear) and the nut was broken (42mm, could be difficult to find one so narrow). Even when you manage to get that totally restored, you end up with a REFINISHED guitar. At that moment I was calculating about hundred Euros for the overspray. That was before I found clearcoat spray at a discounter called "Action" for EUR 1.99 They also have gold, silver, matt black, high gloss black, white and primer. I bought 3 cans of clearcoat, 1 gold just in case something happens to my LP gold-top, 1 matt black for the hardware of our eldest's and my own MTB, 1 black gloss for my Vester Tele which still shows white spots of filler, 1 silver for car wheels. Unbelievable, 7 spray cans of paint for less than the price of two. (Normally EUR 7.95 a can). Of course I can't say anything about the quality yet, except for the gold, which I tried on an old ergonomically customized 80's bicycle. Not exactly the colour, but it covers the scratches on the fork for the winter. Can't try the clearcoat on the 2355M any more. Robby sold it. Perhaps it's better this way. Projects are only interesting if you finish them, and I still have to many unfinished. Anyway, $1250.- is a realistic reserve and you could even set it up to 20% higher if it's near mint. The highest bid on a Lawsuit 2355M (1975) was EUR 1110.- in Germany, which is more than $1500.- now. So, a reserve of $1250-1350 is reasonable. Above that it depends on how much competition there is. If it's really strikingly beautiful and you have a really good presentation, $1500+ is possible. Good luck! Ginger
