Some of you may have seen this, but I thought it's worth posting... Look down the forum for a picture of the Artcore, then listen to the sound clip. http://gretschpages.com/forum/other-guitars/recomm end-an-ibanez-artcore/6993/page1/ Stacey |

Yes indeed. Retrotrons are the way to go. I put a set of Liverpools in my as73 and have been quite pleased ever since. Now I just need to find some knobs that are THAT stylin'! Good stuff. Ben |

Love it! Great look, and very tasteful playing, nicely done Those are the GFS retros? What is a retrotron anyway? A humbucker? A single coil? I put vintage vibe P-90's in my Artcore, AK85. Never heard of retrotrons before you! droo |

Retrotrons are a series of "vintage style" pickups made by GFS (Guitar Fetish Somethingerother) Read all about 'em here: http://store.guitarfetish.com/vintagestyle.html As you'll see there, they've got single coils and humbuckers loosely based on Gretsch filtertrons and DeArmond style pickups as well. Overall, pretty decent stuff for a low, low price. |

When I got my AS103NT, it had retrotrons in it, and they sounded good. But I pulled them in favor of a couple of old Super 70's and like the tone much better. |
