I've done lot's of searching but still can't find definitive answers. I'm looking for some affordable ($500 - $1000), good playing guitars with 1.75" or wider nut width (either hollow or solid body). It seems some Ibanez Artist series have wide necks, quality, and are a good deal. What guitars had the 1-3/4" nuts? Was it all of the Artist series with a set neck? Were they really 1-3/4"? The Ibanez site lists the Scofield JSM100 as a re-issue of the AS-200 with a 43.5mm nut width, which is about 1-23/32" (a hair smaller that 1-3/4). Thanks for any input. I'll likely be purchasing through ebay so the more info the better. |

Hmm, upon further searching it seems the artist series had 43mm nut widths, basically a 1-11/16". In some previous posts on this site people said their nuts measured 1-3/4", (44.45mm). The JSM100 was supposedly modeled on the true specs of Scofields AS-200, 43.5mm Was there that much variation? |
