Would a "prototype" guitar be worth less or more than a standard production model? Ebay Item #280172686573 |

I emailed the seller and asked what proof he has. I don't think it is a prototype just because it was displayed at NAAM. It was probably handled more than a new one would be. Probably handpicked from a stack of the same model. |

The seller says: "It looks as if the back and sides are mahogany." However, Ibanez.com says: "Body: Figured Bubinga top/back/sides." My guess is the seller is mistaken. I don't think there's anything special about this guitar that would cause it to be worth anymore than a production AK95. |

List price $639.99, without case Web store price $480, without case If you like to have an AG95 and if you get it for less than $550 with case and shipping, it is a decent deal. If the NAMM story is true, this is best possible series production quality, at least its finish and probably sound is checked carefully. In Europe AG95 is available in TRD color only. Juha |

Seller say he is selling this for another dealer and also that there are papers in the case but he doesn't know what they are. |
