I must tell you that it took a lot of will power not to buy that guitar. That's very unlike me. mk |

Truth is, I have an AM205 already. My plan is to put a couple of Super 58's on it and replace the tuners with Valve tunes. Then I'll set it aside after I return it to original condition. I just love these AM's. |

"I must tell you that it took a lot of will power not to buy that guitar." Same here. That BIN price was almost too good to pass up. It had different pickups, but at least they had gold covers so they wouldn't have stood out as being replaced. |

MK: Besides the 0 feedback and a lack of detailed pictures, the last one is showing me a price of $97.00 S&H via UPS Ground, from TX to NJ. That's a lot. Maybe it's a mistake. And it does say that it's pristine and has a 7 day return policy. If I didn't already have one, I'd probably take the chance on this auction. |

I'd ask to see it in person - that's always a good test. Yes - the shipping is outrageous. mk |

Not having a regular UPS pickup, weighing scale, etc. anytime I have to send something via UPS it costs me a lot more than what I see others shipping for. A guitar like this one, with a case, is going to get priced out at a 50lb rate because of the size of the box, and standard shipping via a UPS store is something like $65. If the person needs UPS to pack it, or to buy one of their boxes, that's another $40-60. I get slimed every time I go into the UPS store near my house, so I refuse to use them. I just used USPS to send an EB-3 bass (Ibby of course) to a guy, with case, OVERNIGHT and it cost just $85. If I send via Priority Mail, it costs me about $50 for the average guitar. |

I've been using the USPS for the last three four years. They are cheaper and faster than UPS. If you ship overseas, you'll need to fill out a stack of paper work with UPS whereas the USPS is a breeze. |

I thinks its more likely that he's just trying to make money on shipping. The more of the final cost that goes into shipping, the less the seller pays in fees to ebay. |
