Acetan, can you post a closeup of the pickguard? I want to see if it's similar to the one on the 2630. |

Same type of bracket, but the 2454 has a 4-ply BK/WH/BK/WH and no real binding (the edge was milled). This is a type of pickguard that can be replaced in a cheap manner: http://www.backandforth.nl/scratchplates.html That's EUR 11.50 I don't see the correct bracket, but they can be expensive (especially a Gibson $28-69). http://instruments.search.ebay.com/pickguard-brack et_Musical-Instruments_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQ sacatZ619 Ginger |

I've been in a selling mode for the last two years because of my injury to the neck which greatly affected my playing. Then one day this summer I stumbled upon a nice MIJ Strat for a great price and it put me in a buying mood again. I've since bought a nice AM70, an AE450, and then these two this week. I guess I've had a fair year considering the late start. Now I'm looking for an Artist AR112 or a 2618 twelve string. Either one will make it a great X'mas for me. |

Ace, you are in the buying mode, but, are you able to play again? I hope so because that 2454 is a beauty! Let me know when you are ready to sell it as it will match really nice with my cherry red AS50.... Stacey |

Hi Stacey, The 2454 has a neck that feels really nice. It plays very well and I like the resonance the full hollow body gives. I'm not sure about the Super70's it now has though. They are too soft for my taste and I'd like to have a little more projection. I'll give it an 8 vs. your AS50. Ace |

Hi Ace. Do you still have an AS-50 in your arsenal? There appear to be a red one with V2s a few pictures back, next to that Music Man amp, but maybe it's an old picture. I am looking for another AS-50 myself (red would be ideal) preferably with Super 58s, but burst with V2s would work too (like what's on eBay right now). Anyway, I love your 2454. Beautiful... |

Montovibe, I believe that is my AS50 in the picture above. I think it is the best playing and sounding guitar I have been around. Funny, because every Wednesday night, I play the drums and I take that guitar with me so I can hear it. My brother in law is very careful with it as he knows it has become my baby... Stacey |
