This looks like good buying but I dont know much about these. It looks early model 70's at a glance. He wont sell overseas so i cant bid but i would have liked to. Looks like its going very cheap.

Phibanez, looks like a rare copy of the Gibson Crest model...I will have to dust off my Gibson Guitars from 1950 onwards book by Ian Courtney Bishop and give you the exact model of what they have copied.

Captain Ibanez :-)

or if anyone has this book at hand please respond

The CREST model had floating mini humbucker pickups attached to the neck and pickguard (the way a Johnny Smith or George Benson model does). It SORTA looks like a Al Caiola model some but THAT ONE has the little panel running along the edge with the switches and TWO knobs. This looks more like a 70's 330 type (the one they cut into the top to put the control plate on).

Still cool if the price stays low enough...

Well I correct myself - looking in AMERICAN GUITARS the instrument on eBay looks like a copy of a mid 70's ES-325...But the 325 doesn't have the wood insert in the tailpiece. And the Rosewood Crest I was talking about it's got minihumbuckings attacted to the top on the left side of the pickup and the pickguard (and top ??) on the right of each pickup. About 8 years ago I almost bought a Rosewood Crest in Chicago, darn nice - just couldn't get past all the finish checking those 70's Gibson hollowbodies are notorious for.
