I have a brand new (NOS)2001 AS 80 VB with an SKB case. I found it in a warehouse in Florida. It still has the price tags etc. on it. There were two in the back room that were stashed away and never sold. I'm selling it to buy a 335, and don't know what I should ask for a fair price. Is it worth more since it is out of production however new? Thanks Mike |

They show up on eBay pretty regularly. Check some of the completed prices. It seems that the Artcores may be taking the lead in bang for the buck entry level value, and maybe the Korean Artstars aren't selling for that much. Hang on to them for 10 years and sell them when people are going gaga over the Korean guitars -Sven |

Ratfinks3: A 2001 AS80 would be considered a used guitar. Not really collectible, but a good player. As Funkle says a good bang for the buck. Which means it's a good guitar for an affordable price. Your guitar, because it is mint, is worth slightly more than the "average" street price for a used, lower level AS model. Being out of production has no bearing on its value, though. |
