Just wondering how many on this board use their vintage Ibanez guitars as their main axe.
I'm a player myself and gig my 1974 model 2355 regularly on a sunday jazz brunch :-) Last week a 2616cs came unexpectedly into my life and it's creating a bit of a headache for me right now. As a collector, I wouldn't think twice about keeping them both... but I'm a player. Don't really need two es175 copies...
On the contrary, these two es-175-ish guitars are like night and day in sound and playability.
Come to think of it, in my earlier years I used to own a 1977 mod.2355m which also had a flamed maple top. The 2616cs sure reminds me of that guitar. Sound- and playing wise actually.
Man, all those years and still no L-5...

Don't feel bad about it. You'll get over it once you get past the 10 Ibanez mark :-)

I play pretty much all my guitars. If one doesn't get played, I see if there's anything I can do to make it playable, then I send it on it's way. I play them based on my mood. I'm a schizophrenic tone junkie - a guitar that sounds great one day will sound like hell the next - I like having choices.

Hi !

My 1980 Ibanez FA 100 is my main axe for a month now, it replaces the Godin artisan st i played for years (i'm still using it mostly for wild lead), i'm very pleased with the FA 100 as a main guitar, it's really easy to play, mine is in perfect condition and i love its "metheny like" sound
