I have an AM-50 that I bought about 6 years ago because I liked the way it felt and played. After having it for all this time and still liking it better than any other guitar in my room I would like to find out about its' roots. Can anyone fill me in on specs, original cost, etc? Harry: My '83-84 catalog says: Body: Laminated Maple Neck: Maple, 3 ply Fingerboard: Rosewood, dot markers Machine Heads: Smooth tuner Scale: 24-3/4" Pickups: Super 58 Controls: 2 Vol., 2 Tone, 3 way toggle Bridge: Gibraltar II Tailpiece: Quik Change II Control knobs: Sure Grip II Hardware: Chrome Finish: Brown Sunburst only No pickguard It looks like the only difference between an AM50 and and AM100 is the Metallic Black finish and a pickguard. Now, the difference between the 50/100 and 205 is much more pronounced. |
