Yes, it would be hard to change the body, it being a set neck guitar It's a '94 AS80 made in Korea. They switched from having the mickey mouse ears as seen on this one to the pointy AS200 style at some point in the '90s. http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/1994/94033.jpg -Sven |

There was an AS model that did have a bolt on neck. I think it was the early 90s AS50? |

freak, do you have a first name we can call you by? I've had a few of those early Sunday pre-caffeine premature-post-button incidents. John's right, there was a Korean AS50 from the late '80s early '80s with a bolt neck and open pickups that did not appear in US catalogs. I cant find any pictures to post. I think it was sold in other countries along with the Korean AM50 and AM80 models. -Sven |
