Acetan: Very nice! I have to say that I've seen some very nice pictures of these guitars...much nicer than the pictures in the catalogs! Now you are the person that is going to have to reply to all the "what's the differences between these models" and "how does one sound compared to the other" questions. You might as well give us a thorough report and comparison after you get it. |

Man..... ready for this....first i'mn't responsible for any damage done to the guitar....second read the manual, third go to the ICW helpdesk for support... 1.replace the the bridge, wood and wooden tailpiece (benedetto) 2. remove 2 (of 4) potis..you only need a tone and volume. 3.remove the back pick-up and fill the hole , move the front pick-up towards the neck. 4. remove this toggle switch. 5. shave the backside of the neck a bit....there is something strange about these necks for me , but with a little bit shaving the feel is perfect. 6. replace the machineheads with the pearl versions. 7.because of the holes and the replacements(removal) of the pick-ups a spray job is a must otherwise you will see the modifications. are you ready JohnS.... my 2 prefered colors for the FG100 would be CS (cherry sunburst) or Yellow /black sunburst just like the Wes Montgomery one pick-up L-5. 8. a fingerboard replacement could be an option i have always be fan of the ebony ones , but lately i discover that rosewood has a better sound and sometimes plays easier. this "mod" will cost some cash....and you better maybe buy a jazzbox right out of the shop.... but my opinion is, if you spend some cash and find a good luthier ...you have a jazz guitar for life. it has worked for my FA100 mod the guitar plays so fine and sounds so good now, i'm still working to improve the sound...and i'm gonna test soon the Haussel floating humbucker, see if it got a little bit more punch than the mini bartollini i'm using now. |

Do a search on this:"Saw this on a dutch website" on "Subject Line" under "Hollow & Semi-Hollow Body Guitars". You'll see what Artfield did with his purple paint. Ace |
