I'm thinking of selling my Tamura built 1977 2471 Ibanez. I had always suspected it was a carved top because you could see that the top was not the same thichness by looking at the f-holes. I has some work done on it by a great luthier (he does work for Scofield, Joe Beck etc...), and he confirmed the its a solid top. Anyone know what it's worth? Thanks, Lou |

Lou: This carved top model would be highly sought after by Ibanez jazzer afficianados. It's worth is hard to pinpoint. Even though it may be an excellent player and a rarity for the Ibanez collectors, it's not like it's a real Gibby L5. Here's the prices from Dec 2004 for some L5 replicas that went on ebay. I would think it to be at the high end of these ranges.
