Ebay Item #130095431194 Looking at the pickups and the back of the headstock, I'd say it's a 1975. (Round pole pieces, not the flat Maxons, no Ibanez print). My 2355m (1976) is just as minty as this one. Same OHSC... $2000.-??? In my dreams perhaps... Tris, if you had to choose between this one and the 2355m you missed for €1110.- which one would you pick? Ginger |

Ginger, I'd give him 1300 - 1400 for it. That would be my max on this guitar (mint or not mint). Just my opinion... Stacey |

That's what I said: "In my dreams perhaps..." If this one would be worth $2000.- what would that mean for my minty 2355m? Just a sweet dream: the value of a guitar increasing with 40%-50% in 6 months or so... haha! Don't wake me up! Hmmm... zzzzzzzzz Hmmm... zzzzzzzzzz Ginger |

Back then, I would've taken that 2355m without hesitating. But from my experience with hollow bodies since last year, an ES-175 type is not what I'm looking for. It looks nice, for sure. Reasonable? 1200$. For europe. Back then with that 2355m I became perhaps a bit too attached to the fact that I'm gonna have it at all costs and I think that's the wrong way of acting. Since then I stopped being an emotional buyer and I run away from auction that exceed my budget. Eventually the next one always comes, what you buy you can always resale so no problems. Even half a year ago, I would've never put those 1100EUR on. I'm glad my year of tryouts with hollowbodies (actually more than two years, I've had my AS200 for quite a while) ended the way it did, I do know what I want and I seem to have it now. In a short while I guess I'll add a new semi to my collection. Before that I was basically a solidbody player.. well enough mumbling.. |

He took the best offer of $950.- $1250-1350 would have been possible, if he hadn't started with this ridiculous $2000.- Ginger |

a mint 2355M (natural, pure flame) was sold here in rome a couple of weeks ago for €950/1135usd. the seller wanted €650, but after receiving dozens of e-mails decided to raise the price... and sold the same. not a fair practice at all. |

If he used a BIN of €650.- ON EBAY the guitar is to be considered SOLD if someone bids €650.- But that's different on several other (non-auction) ad sites. €950.- is NOT too expensive for a 2355m. BTW: that's $1285.44 now. Three of us have been hunting one in Germany, that went for €1110.- ($1482.07) a couple of months ago. €650.- shows that the seller is quite ignorant. That's a non-vintage second hand price. Ginger |
