Looks like its been "relicized"..like someone purposely tried to make it look "roadworthy"..smells like a poser guitar to me, expensive too consitering the condition ! |

What a SHAME! Is that a patch of wood underneath the tailpiece post? Are we sure that this is an AS30 and not an AS50 with a funky looking handwritten label? |

That AS50 was on Ebay Germany about 2 month ago and sold for 351 Euro. This seller "borrowed" the pics of the original auction, throws in a Epi-case and all of a sudden some 0-feedback bidders show up... Here's a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7335360573 Juergen |

That's unfortunate, those marks do look like a relic effort. The who;e relic thing is incomprehensible to me. I think it is an AS80 or AS50. |

Yogi: Thanks for tracking down it's history. So, now we know it is an AS50. The original auction graded this guitar an 8/10 because of the finish! On what planet would this be an 8? |

Dave: Ahhh, now it all makes sense! Speaking of Bizarro World, does anyone know which one of these musicians was an Ibanez endorser on the late 70s?

Paul Stanley with the star. He really aged and needs to shave in this pic. |
