Looks like an early seventies copy, with no headstock logo. I guess the earliest it could be would be 1974--isn't that the year Gibson reintroduced this model after the Epiphone run?

I know this doesn't generate much interest here, but here's another:

Regg:

This one is definitely a "real" Ibanez. Should be more interest in it than the first one. Thanks for keeping a watch out.

Here's an ICW version of the ebay URL:

John:

Is it true that some pre-75 Ibanez guitars did not have the logo on the headstock, as well as not having a serial number, or is that just a myth? There's a picture of the HR on the Ibanez register without it.

Regg:

It appears that some pre-75 Ibanez did not have the logo on them. All pre-mid-75 Ibanez, no matter the model had no serial numbers.

However, not all HRs with no serial number and no headstock logo are Ibanez. Several companies imported and distributed HR replicas. They may look very similar to, but are not the Ibanez brand. They may have even been made in the same factory as the Ibanez. But again, they cannot be called an Ibanez or said to be made by Ibanez.

In the case of the first one above, the headstock shape looks different from those shown in Ibanez catalogs from '74, '75 & '76. They did make a change in the headstock inlay: '74 & '75 used the flowerpot inlay; in '76 they switched to the branch with leaves.
