I saw a couple of scofield sigs on ebay last week--they were both J-Craft. Some of the Scofields(and other guitars as well) are not. What's the difference? thanks..... Rick |

Rick: I believe that the J-Craft label is a way of differentiating the Japanese-made Prestiges from other Prestige monikered guitars, like those made in Korea. |

Rigk: Are you saying that not all Japanese *Prestige* models have the J-Craft label? |

It's my understanding that Ibanez's J-Craft Team has been Hoshino's best luthier group. They still make all of the signature archtops (GB,PM,JSM) in Japan. News from the latest NAMM '07 is that a new spinoff J-Craft Team in China builds some of the RG/Vai/Timmons signature model necks. I read that the China J-Craft Team consists of a single luthier. Have any of you guys have heard anything different? |

Guitartim: A Chinese J-Craft team (can 1 person be a team? ) is news to me! |
