Hi guys, I'm new here. I've just bought this guitar: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7362032991&ssPageName= STRK:MEWN:IT which I know was mentioned on a previous thread. I knew nothing about these SA guitars before yesterday, though I used to have a solid-body Artist which was lovely. I'd like to gradually replace the wrong parts on this guitar. I'm aware of the locking 'Gibralter' bridge and slotted tailpiece needed, but can someone show me pictures of what the control knobs should look like? And if I need to change the pickups, apart from replacing the super 80s, what other pickups go well with these guitars (for mild overdrive/blues/rock and jazz)? Or should I try and replace the 80? What are their characteristics? Thanks. Jez |

Forgot to say - what's the significance of the headstock - all other pictures i've seen of SA guitars have a concave ended headstock - why has this one got a convex end? In fact, if someone could point me to a brief history of the guitars I'll probably save a lot your time with daft questions like this... thansk again - Jez |

Happy to do so when I get back but I'm sure some of the other guys would chat with you. Else, drop me an email and we can have a chat when I get back ok? Happy Ibaneezin' six |

Six thanks for the welcome - I noticed that you actually DIDN'T buy this guitar!! so i'm aware i haven't got a fantastic bargain. But it'll do as as a start. Mind you it's bl***dy heavy so i might not keep it long. Enjoy spain. Jez |
