I have an AM255 in good condition (8/10) all original except the bridge PU (a super 70). I usually play on my AM205. The sound of these two guitars is very close. So I would like to trade my Am 255 with a new or second-hand maple Artist-like hollow body (IBZ preferably, Heritage, Yamaha, etc).

Any ideas of what would be a fair deal?
Thanks for your answer

Regis~

Since you've included Heritage and Yamaha, I guess your price range is about $1,000 - $1,300US or so? At that level, you cannot go wrong with a Ibz JSM, or Yamaha's semi. I like the Heritage H535 and H555, especially since they now use the 'Plek' system for fret set-ups and HRW pickups.

Check with Buffalo Bros. in Calif. and Wolfe Guitars in FL. for great selection and excellent pricing on Heritage if interested.

Hope that helps.

Guitartim,
Identifying the right price of an AM255 is not easy. That's why I would prefer a trade. The price list on ICW is a 2002 one. In my country (France) the rare last offers I saw were respectively €2,000 and €1,350. I should probably put it on ebay but I'm not familiar with biddings.

However, thanks for your answer. I completely forgot the JSM model (AS200 dream I suppose). I tried it two times and I don't find the multi-radius neck too bad
R.
