Someone here was looking for a player semi-hollow. This LR10 is at Dave's Guitars in Wisconsin for around $200 if anyone is interested.

Daves also has an AS50 for around $600 in great condition. FYI

Tim, unfortunately I'm far from Wisconsin.. :-)
Long-tail Bigsby could easily be removed, and sold to Lonnie Mack.. a couple screwholes to fill & fix..That "control panel area" is more troublesome though..
Anyway: verdict - could be a player!

That's a lot of holes for one guitar! :-)

I've been to Dave's a number of times and am not ridiculously far away...

Had one of these a few years back. Very slim neck. This one looks bloody awful.

Understandin' and a little lovin', baby... a little lovin's all that it needs.

Okay, maybe a bit more than that. I'd guess it'd be pretty difficult to fill all those holes and match the 'burst... perhaps this one's a lost cause.

Guys,

Looking at that LR10 reminds me of the GUITORGAN

A Guitorgan is basically an electric guitar with electronic organ components added.

Bob Murrell is credited with its invention and Musiconics International (MCI) of Waco, Texas claims to have introduced the world to the Guitorgan.

Blues,
Those pics are great.

Perhaps instead of looking at this as the helpless victim of one hackjob too many, we should recognize that it could be the humble beginnings of a glorious guitorgan of the next generation!

(Barney Kessel turning in his grave)

Isn't it time to put some strings on a Hammond Organ. There's a lot missing on that instrument...

But think how cool it would be to fiddle with all those switches on stage

Anyway I'd rather play synthesized guitar sound on keyboard than organ on fretboard.

Tim,

I appreciate the tip on the guitar. Frankly I'm surprised no one here grabbed it before me.

Granted it's hacked but with a little love it'll be a killer axe with a few extra holes in the top.

Does anyone know what these came with for tailpiece & bridge?

Thank you ... Rick

Rick~ You are most welcome about the tip...and glad someone did see something of value in this LR10. It was worth more than the asking price just for the Brazilian Rosewood fretboard!!

I started to go for it, but already have a 'player' condition LR10 and a 'collectable' one. (Thanks Dave Jacobs!) I may sell the player some day.

In response to your tailpiece/bridge inquiry...Here's some very interesting information about the prototype and production model LR10 that you might appreciate. Specs included.

Enjoy!
