Hi Guys, My AF120 is lovely to play but too bright for me Accoustically and electrically Is the AF200 really a warmer sound as a post here suggested ? If so why , it's a very similar constuction I'm going to change to Flats to tame it a bit but have I bought the wrong ax ? |

Wrong ax? No, you had the wrong strings. .012 flats will probably give you what you want. Put the pickup selector in the neck only position. I heard enthusiastic stories about Thomastik flatwounds. In your case I would choose Thomastik JAZZ SWING JS112 (NOT BEBOP) I found this UK site that is specialised in jazz strings, so that you can look up the features: http://www.stringmail.co.uk/jazz.htm I'm sure you can find the best source for you, wherever you are.
