I was told by a dealer that the new Ibanez GB10's neck is still made in Japan (good thing) but the box is made in China (not so good). is this true, when did that happen and has anybody here had any 1st hand experience with the new ones? thanks |

I think the GBs are all Japanese made...only the Artcore Uniteds had the half Japanese half Chinese build approach. |

Last I heard all the GB signature models are still made completely in Japan. |

Earle101, I'd be suspect of any dealer who makes blanket statements like that. Maybe he was simply mis-informed or confused with the Artcore United construction agreement. Possibly he was trying to sell you something other than a GB10, or did he even have them for sale?? Any Ibanez dealer who sells new GB10 Prestige models knows they are more profitable than Artcores and other low-end or entry level models. |
