I just bought this one on ebay. I should see it next week. I couldn't find much info on these here or otherwise but couldn't resist. Does anyone here have any experience with this model? Thanks ... Rick Ebay Item #230116972969 |

bondscoll, that's a pretty rare guitar made in the late 80's. i'm searching for info too, seems that it was an ibanez attempt to make a gretsch-like "rockabilly" guitar, as the rare AF220 too. if you can post some pictures when you receive... it would be great. i searched the web but was not able to know if it's a hollow or a semi-hollow, nor where were these guitars made (japan, korea). original pickups should be the "hot" super 70s. |

Didn't I post a link to a catalogue with an AC50 pic somewhere? It's an Artstar from the end of the 80's. Super 70's are unlikely. I guess it has Super 58's. Ginger |

Wooah, you got it for $250.-? That's a bargain! Don't be fooled by the two pickup screws. Super 58's exist with 3 and 2 screws. Ginger |

http://www.ibanezregister.com/images/images-artsta r/ac100/ac100-88.jpg I found this catalog scan. Another search says it's a full hollowbody. $250 seemed like a great buy, especially including shipping. I'll keep you posted. |

The person you bought it from was def. not a member of this site- you would have paid $2500.00 hahah I would suggest you play the lottery this is your lucky week! |

The guitar arrived yesterday! I am pleasantly surprised. The guitar is very clean and plays great! For those that asked it is Made in Japan. I'll post pics and more comments as I get better acquainted with it. Rick |

Of course it's made in Japan: H907411 is a Terada serial number (1989). Ginger |

I played this for an hour last night. I really like the guitar. It has a great hollowbody rock/blues sound. I wasn't sure what to expect, jazzy or rock sound. It came set up with light strings. I got a nice clean chorus sound as well as a heavy rock sound with no problem. I think I'll keep her! Rick |
