I like rather small body than normal because I'm not a big man. Now I have 'GB 10'. 'ES-335' is 16.5 inches in width, '1959 ES-335 Dot' is 16 inches. How about JSM 100??? And, according to spec in Gibson homepage, it shows 16-inch width of ES-137Custom. Is it true? (It looks quite smaller than ES-335.) How about sound of ES-137Custom compared to 335 or JSM? |

Loop, the GB10 is probably the best thing going for smaller framed players, (or tall lanky ones like me too!). It is only slightly smaller than the single cutaway, Gibson USA ES137 Custom, another fine instrument. The 137 Custom (Gibson Classic 57 pickup model) is tone -wise, fairly close to a 335, but with a single cutaway and fancier appointments. The JSM (w/Ibanez Super 58 pickups)is very close in size to the 335/355 models, and to my taste kicks all Gibson semis to the curb! Better out the door quality and features, hands down, unless you get a really nice Gibson Custom Shop '59 Reissue 335. Here is a link from the Ibanez Store in the UK that has some of the JSM100 specs. http://www.theibanezstore.com/oscommerce/product_info.php?products_id=261 Tone comparisons are a bit too subjective for me, but suffice it to say, they all have great tones, just different. Hope this helps. Tim |
