Keeping it tight

Author Message Fg100 Username: Fg100 Registered: 03-2004 Posted on Friday, March 10, 2006 - 7:17 pm:    I was wondering how do you guys keep the wires inside your archtops tight/organised? It seems that there is wire "enought for two" guitas inside my AF, and sometimes it rattles. It's very anoying. I thought in using some type of 'hook and loop cable ties' but thought I would check here first for any tips. Thanks a lot in advance. But be careful not to put too much tension on them or they'll pull away from their soldered anchor points. Hope this helps. The reason I like electrical tape is because it does not make any noise if it comses in contact with the interior of the guitar. The fun always begins when you try to reach inside an F hole to secure the wires. Best to simply remove one of the pickups if possible...or call a pro. I think they are plastic, although I have seen also made out of some type of fabric. About reaching inside the f holes.. Like I said, there's so much wire that I can easily take out enough to tie my shoes.... (well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit) Thanks again! I'll try first with tape.
