There's a AM255 just ended on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7399857036&rd=1&sspagename=ST RK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Looks like this one has Super 70 pickups... I thought all AM255 were originally Super 58 Am I wrong or is this just a mod done by the owner? And those who tried both pickups... How would you compare the two? |

Also check this one out.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7398130920&rd=1&sspagename=ST RK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 He replaced the pickups with Dimarzio PAF Classics.... And I wonder how that sounds... Any opinions? |

Tone, That is (was) my AM200 I just sold on eBay. When I bought the guitar, it had some strange Bartolinis in it that sounded awefull, so I put in the PAF Classics. They sound pretty good. I like them better then Super 58s in a lot of ways. they are more articulate, while still being warm. I highly recommend them. -Sven |

Tone: On the first one, the AM255, unless the owner changed them out and put on different covers, I'd say it had the stock Super 58s still in it. |

Funkle: Wow, you did good at $1225.00. The great photos undoubtedly helped. |

Ahhh that was yours Funkle! Yea... awesome photos =) I love those pickguard too... Does ibanez make that pickgaurd stlil? I want to change mine now Yes, I do find my AM255 bit muddy with Super 58's... PAF Classic will be on my list now. Has anyone tried LINDY FRALIN pickups? My friend is trying to convince me that those will make any semi-hollow guitar sound so much better period. And how would you compare Super 58 verses Super 70? |
