There was a really very nice burst GB12 on eBay last week. Anyone besides me see it ?? It had me really thinking about going for it. Man, I don't have the item number anymore I had done a WATCH ITEM on it and it should have ended some time late Sunday. I was home and going to do a late bid on it. Now it's nowhere to be found. Like I said it was a Watched Item and every kind of search I did on it yields nothing. I suspect that eBay canceled the auction for some reason and that's why it doesn't even show up in my WATCHED ITEMS or searches of Completed Items... Did one of you arrange a private deal with the seller - at least I'd be happy knowing a Board Brother (or Sister) got it for their colelction. |

If the seller mentioned Gibson in the title or description it was probably pulled because of the copyright laws. If that was the case the guitar show back up soon. |

I received this e-mail off eBay from the seller(?) after having asked for more high res pics. "I received an offer of $2.200 and i pulled off the auction but the buyer never contact me again.I don't know why so if you want to buy the item pls email me.I can't provide you more pictures because the item is already at the shipping comp any waiting to be delivered. The company allows you 5 days in wich you can verify the item and if not satisfied you can return it and get full refund. Please reply asap. Thanks"

Callistabb, LISTEN very carefully to what DAVE said... That sounds really fishy to me too. I would suggest you tell the guy to unpack it, shoot the pics and relist the guitar with a BUY IT NOW price and you'll buy it from him thru eBay... Hmmm, even the offer has me a little worried buying it thru eBay would be safe. Man I sure liked that guitar, like Bobzilla's AR500 (mentioned in another thread) the fact that NO ONE HERE was talking about it told me there were a lot of serious watchers reading to pull the trigger at the last moment... Thanks for your advice, will certainly not pursue. The only reason would be to get some info that could be forwarded to eBay in order used against an eventual fraudulent seller. Haven’t done that either in this case but on two previous occasions. By the way, I was also watching Bobzilla’s AR500 very carefully but descided to pass this time. Looking forward to see some pictures of it here when it arrives. Thanks again /Bjorn |
