Es-355 copy perhaps 2374?

I,m about to buy es-355 copy and i have no idea about the price or value of that guitar. Now on the instrument you are checking out there are some little bits of hardward trim missing but definitely not deal breakers. On the tailpiece there should be a wood insert, to rather closely copy the original Crest tailpiece. "Your" guitar has lovely rosewood back and top, very nicely bookmatched. There was a guitar similiar to it that ran on eBay a couple weeks ago that sold for around $750.00 - or $800.00 so if yours is anywhere in that ballpark it's a good deal... Heck I think they are highly underated gutiars.... Nice find !! The backplate only says "made in Japan" in thick stamped-in letters, so it was built most probably in 1973, 1974 or first half of 1975. As mentioned before: the wooden tailpiece insert is missing and the bridge (at least the upper gold part) is non-original. As far as I can see the tuners are replacements too (Grover?). As a collector I would say: it's a pity and because all of this missing/replaced hardware (that is very hard to find if you'd like to restore it) I would pay no more than 400 bucks. But if you don't care about originality as long as the guitar plays and feels good, one might be willing to bid more. Kind greetz, Harry
