Has anyone tried these out? I've had some flat wounds and even though they sound sweet and mellow on the AS120TR, they become fuzzy and muddy when I use overdrive/distortion so I was planning on getting some EHR340(light top/heavy bottom) half wounds. Any input would be appreciated. |

I haven't tried them but would be interested in hearing about them too. F |

I tried them on an AM300 and thought they sounded terrible. They were really dead and had some non-musical overtones. It only costs $5 to try a set though. Give some Elixir Polywebs a try while you're at it. They are a good compromise between rounds and flats in terms of tone. The goretex coating knocks off a lot of the twang. |
