Wow, very nice specimen! Look at the size of that headstock. Cool!

I thought I'd contribute this, which looks indistinguishable. The incredible Russell Malone and pensive pianist Benny Green.

Russell Malone

Of course it could be the FA700, which I understand to be identical, but with a solid spruce top,

Wow, great photo! I've seen Russell Malone a couple times - great player. Both times I saw him, he was playing a L5 (I think) through a Polytone Minibrute IV (15" speaker). Dark, thin tone. Monstrous chops.

Great looking Ibanez in the photo. Thanks for posting it.

Wild,

Glad you liked that. Here's another

RMBG2

Should I.... Is this the right place.......maybe it would be in bad taste as it's an Ibanez board?

What the hell, I'll do it anyway, since you expressed an interest

RML5

Looks a bit beat up, doesn't it!

He also plays a D'Angelico - New Yorker, I think.

DA

Check out "Playground" a digital only album released in 2004, very eclectic and uncategorisable and "Heartstrings" a la Creed Taylor Day in the Life territory. His version of "You Needed Me" moves old Phat to tears.

Anyone here bidding on it? It has given me a major GAS attack, but it is already at $710. Any guesses at the final price? 1200? more?

I was going for this one. The seller, a really nice guy, wasn't intending to sell abroad and didn't know what to charge for shipping, so I helped him with links to the relevant USPS site and he waited for my bid. Then I prepared to bid in the dying minutes.

When I tried, eBay wouldn't accept my bid. So joseph75520 went through as the winner. It turned out that the seller believed that he had altered his settings to accept bids form me as an overseas bidder, but he had obviously not quite got it right!! So both the seller, who was extremely apologetic, and I lost out and Joseph was victorious. He was obviously meant to get it (by what mischievous demon I know not) and good luck to him. Like I said to the seller: another day another 1977 FA300!

You never know, a 700 may yet turn up!

Joseph, if you're on this this board, congratulations and enjoy. C'est la guerre!
