I have used the search and read about the AF220, but can anyone who has actually played these give me a clue. Is $1250 USD high for an AF220? Should I wait for the GB20? My GAS is killing me. |

Cmangeot: I sold my AF200 last June on ebay to a very happy Canadian gentleman. Final bid was $1125.00. Orval got his AF220 on ebay for $475.00. Unbelievable, huh? I've never played an AF220 or a GB20. Personally, I would rather have the GB20 than the AF220. |

Cmangeot: Have a couple of GBs and I must say that my GB20 plays in a league by itself. Neck feels faster, sustain is longer and the overall feeling playing a big (but not too big) jazz box compared to the smaller GB’s is great. I’m under the impression that every note played is boosted by the large vibrant top. Haven’t played any other GB20s so I don’t know if this applies to the model, but given the consistency and build quality of these guitars, I suspect it would. If I’ll get the opportunity, I would not hesitate to get myself a second GB20. Haven’t played the AF200/220. I would wait /Bjorn |

Bjorn, Your description solidifies everything that I have imagined about the GB20. And as everyone on the ICW knows, I am going CRAZY attempting to find one. I have located one in Germany, but they are asking 2700 Euros. Way too much. I am just dying for a big body Ibanez, and can't tell whether to wait for the "holy grail". Chris |
