Not a bad price either...considering the condition of this first year GB10NT. Elderly is usually on the high side. If I were interested, I'd ask for more pics though. What do you guys think? http://www.gbase.com/Stores/Gear/GearDetails.aspx?Item=1529450 |

Tim: It does look to be in fantastic shape for an August '78 GB10nt. And a flight case, too. BTW, I've seen a GB10sb with an October 1977 serial number. Even though Ibanez says '78 was the first year, this guitar proves something different. |

Now that's what I call interesting, John! So they probably made some products before introducing them officially. I guess it didn't leave the factory before the first press releases. But while writing this another possibility pops up in my head. That other possibility is that it was a Terada '87 with a high production number (year production) So H7XXXXX with the first X being a 7 for the 70,000th and something guitar in that year. These examples are the main reason I was thinking about these f.... serial numbers that much over the past weeks. The serial numbering system of the late '80s and early '90s is inconsistent compared with the old system and has several weak spots. But anyway they did it that way and we have to deal with it.
