Went to some pawn shops looking for a strat that needs work (read buy cheap). after 4 pawn shops, I came back to the one that had this blue Artcore Af75. bought it for 260.00 usd with a flight case. It is built so nice and plays great. It looks new. Is the born on date in the serial number like my '77 model 2650? Or is it the 12-02 after the model numbers? |

The year is denoted right after the "S", such as 03,04, then comes the month, followed by the number that your guitar was that particular month. There's a very informative thread about serial numbers if you do a search in the Utilities section. Grab a big cup of coffee before you start reading, though! |

MG, thanks for the info. I got my coffee, now on to a search in the utilities section. By the way, I can't believe the workmanship and quality in this quitar. I leave work early just to go home and play it. but now I gotta learn how to play better. |
