Hello all, An aquintance of mine is selling a 1974 (pre-lawsuit era) ES-335 copy. The guitar is called a "No. 2309" and since it predated the artist era it has no serial number. I have also heard these guitars been referred to as the "Crest". Does anyone have ANY info on these guitars at all. Do they have a reputation of quality? I know they have the Super 58 pick up's in them but I have no clue as to any other specs or history. Also, do they compare to the Gibson ES 335"s? THe guy is selling it for $1500, does this sound like an o.k. deal? Any info would be appreciated. THank you very much. Paul |
