Does anyone know if a Gibson 335 pickguard will work on a 2001 AS80? Other than mounting mods, is the space between the pickups the same on both guitars. Thanks everyone. Mike |

It will ever work. That goes for all pickguards. They just hang there and get beaten up. Some do it for more money than others and prefer magenta sheets. Ginger PS: They are only useful if they add something other pieces of SM plastic don't have, such as a tortoise colour. If they don't, buy a cheapo like this E-3-4B PICKGUARD "335" /BLACK /4 PLY for € 11.50 http://www.backandforth.nl/scratchplates.html |

Here's such a 47 year old SM callgirl: http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180015300243&ssPageName=MERCOS I_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX_Stores&refitem=180025081078&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=close d_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget I'd say to the pimps:"Put it in a place with no light." Mike, I found something, if you're into affordable tortoise. This colour is beautiful on natural and sunburst finishes. This one is a long-style (3-ply?) tortoise http://cgi.ebay.com/LONG-STYLE-TORTOISE-PICKGUARD-FOR-GIBSON-ES-335_W0QQitemZ250 019926575QQihZ015QQcategoryZ38085QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Note: It looks like this is made of cheaper material than the original L-5, GB-10 or AS-200 pickguards. It looks a lot like the material used for strat pickguards. If you have a transparent red (like the Epiphone DOT), a black pickguard makes a better combination. This one is short-style 5-ply black : http://cgi.ebay.com/SHORT-STYLE-5-PLY-BLACK-PICKGUARD-FOR-GIBSON-ES-335_W0QQitem Z250032004072QQihZ015QQcategoryZ38085QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Ask them questions about the dimensions BEFORE you bid, because it's an e-bay store. But it's USA, so you'll have low shipping cost. Ginger |
