Hi Uffe This is not a model 2355M but a model 2455. The 2355M has double trapezoid fretboard inlays and (always?) a striped top. Also the tailpiece is different. It's not very clear if this guitar has an exchanged bridge pickup or if it's the original one with the casing removed. The bridge is not original, for sure. But evenso I think 750 Euro is a fair price. Here are a few pictures to compare. Here's the 2355M This is the 2455 Kind greetz, Harry |

You could say that the 2455 is in fact the copy of the Gibson L-4CES NT: The (solid I guess?) spruce top, the bound headstock with flower pot inlay, fancy fretboard end, gold high end parts (like tailpiece, tuners, pickguard bracket) and the bound tortoise pickguard lift it beyond the level of the laminated maple ES-175 copy. Of course the idea that a solid spruce top would have always a positive effect on a guitar that is mainly used as an electric is somewhat archaic. But from a puristic luthier point of view this is the better guitar. But than we are talking about acoustic quality. Plugged in it might give more feedback problems, so that you must be careful applying higher volumes. I you must compete with a big band, that can be a problem. €750.- is a more than fair deal, I'd even tend to say it is a bargain. (pity about the missing pickup cover, I hope you have already closed the deal and got it with the guitar). This is something to be really proud of, Uffe. Lovely, just lovely... Ginger |
